After 45 years as a fluid power engineer, I still love designing and selling fluid power systems: understanding the application, working through the problem, and finding a solution that works.
Building FluidPowerIQ has brought me back to the struggles, mistakes, and challenges of my early career. The questions I did not yet know to ask. The calculations I checked again and again. The lessons that never quite made it into a textbook.
The challenge of making this the best tool it can be has made me feel like a 22-year-old engineer again—curious, eager to learn, and determined to figure it out. This time, I have 45 years of experience along for the ride.
